Level 2 home and business EV charger installs, sized correctly for your panel and vehicle — done to code, not just plugged into a garage outlet.

The question that determines everything else about an EV charger install is whether your existing panel actually has room for it. A lot of older panels — especially 100-amp residential services — are already close to their working capacity once you account for HVAC, an electric range, and everything else running in a home. Adding a 40 or 50-amp circuit for a Level 2 charger on top of that without checking capacity first is how people end up with a charger that trips breakers or never delivers its rated speed.
If the panel has room, the job is a dedicated circuit run from the panel to the charger location, sized specifically to the charger and the vehicle it's serving — a mismatch here isn't just a performance issue, it's a code and safety issue. If the panel doesn't have room, that's not a dead end, it just means a panel upgrade needs to happen first, and we'll walk you through what that involves rather than trying to squeeze a charger onto a panel that can't safely support it.
Mounting location matters more than people expect. Distance from the panel affects wire gauge and cost, and outdoor installations need weather-rated equipment and conduit run correctly to hold up over years of sun and rain, not just pass inspection on day one.
For multi-unit residential properties and small commercial fleets, the calculation changes again — multiple chargers pulling simultaneously need to be load-managed so they don't collectively exceed what the service can deliver, which is its own design problem separate from any single charger install.
Every install gets permitted and inspected, and we finish by actually charging a vehicle before calling the job done — confirming the charger delivers what it's rated for, not just that it powers on.
A Tesla Wall Connector, like other hardwired Level 2 chargers, is mounted on the wall and wired straight to its own 240V circuit. A NEMA 14-50 outlet lets you plug in a mobile connector or plug-in charger instead, which some owners prefer if they might switch chargers or move. Either way, the circuit is sized to the charger's rating and your panel's capacity, and outdoor installs get weather-rated equipment. We'll tell you which option your panel can support before you buy anything.
At multi-unit properties and small fleet sites, several chargers drawing at once can add up to more than the service can deliver. We design load management so the chargers share the available capacity instead of tripping breakers or overloading the service.
